A historic piece of 70% dark chocolate covered in fruit and nuts including almonds, peanuts, walnuts and currants (sweet golden raisins).
Mendiant translates from French as 'beggar'. This piece is so called because, during the economic despair leading up to the French Revolution, Parisian chocolatiers would make these thin discs of chocolate and give them away. The addition of the toppings were included to promote better nourishment.
